Interview Lorian

November 10, 2003 Marc Besselink of the Dutch group "Lorian" visited our studio. We asked him all about Lorian, how it started, the project "Life Cycle" and their future plans. The band didn't release an album yet. However, a demo CD and also some live recordings (both audio and video) are available and can be obtained from the Lorian website: Lorian download page.
To describe the music, references to the work of Marillion are unavoidable. Conceptual symphonic rock, in which they take the freedom to give an own interpretation to it. "Lorian's music sustains dreams and helps them to become reality" as they state it.

The band consists of:

	Pepijn Heemskerk	Synthesizer
	Marc Besselink	Piano/Vocals
	Eric Schuijt	Drums
	Jeroen Vriend	Bass
	Rene van Dalen	Guitar

Their most important feats are the live performance in the venue "De Rode Hoed" in Amsterdam (April 27th, 2003) and the supporting act of the famous Manfred Mann's Earth Band, on tour in the Netherlands (November 29/30, 2003).
