Album presentation Leap Day The Dutch band Leap Day released their new album "Skylge's Lair" recently. Koen Roozen (drums) and Gert van Engelenburg (keys) explained the odd title and told us more about the compositions and how the album was received. Live on Radio Apeldoorn on May 2nd, one week later (May 9th) on Deventer and Voorst and May 10th on EDE-FM. Click on the picture for more info about Leap Day. |

Live performance FUSONIC
On Monday March 21st the Dutch band "Fusonic" played live in our studio. Of course we also asked them about the history of Fusonic and the background of their debut album "Desert Dreams".

A very productive artist: Christiaan Bruin
As you can see below, Christiaan Bruin visited our studio two times ealier: In November 2009 (presentation of his debut album "A Glimpse Inside") and October 2010 (presentation of the Sky Architect debut album). Now he just released his second solo album "Making Sense" (artist name "Chris") and when we listened to the album we were positively surprised. So we got in contact with him again!
The album presentation (with interview) was live on Radio Apeldoorn on December 6th 2010.

A new generation proggers: Sky Architect
It really pleased us to present the debut album of the Dutch band 'Sky Architect'. The young members (22 to 24 years old) proved that making good prog is not exclusive to those who are old enough to have experienced the golden era of the seventies and eighties. The album presentation (with interview) was live on Radio Apeldoorn on October 4th and we recorded it for Radio Voorst en Deventer Radio where you can listen to it on Monday October 18th. Of course you can listen to these stations on internet (see below).

CD presentation 'Intentions' in SymfoCity
'Intentions' is a new band from the northern part of The Netherlands. They recently released their debut album called "Place in Time". September 20th they came to our studio in Apeldoorn for an interview and album presentation.
It was live on Radio Apeldoorn and we recorded it for Radio Voorst en Deventer Radio where you can listen to it on Monday October 4th. Of course you can listen to these stations on internet (see below).

Live performance Mangrove in SymfoCity
On 10-May-2010 the band Mangrove visited our studio for an acoustic set. Roland van der Horst didn't use his electric guitar. He was able to compensate this with creative riffs, even with Spanish influences. This performance was a warming up and a promotion for their acoustic gig in "De Gigant" in Apeldoorn on May 21st.

CD presentation Knight Area & Chris
In the beginning of November we had Gerben Klazinga and Chris Bruin in our studio for an interview. Gerben represented the Dutch group Knight Area who just released there third studio album "Realm of Shadows". Chris Bruin, a young Dutch talent, presented his debut album "A Glimpse Inside" under his artist name "Chris".

ProgFarm2009 Special:
CD presentation Flambourough Head & Leap Day
In the beginning of October (Live recording October 5 on Radio Apeldoorn, broadcast October 12 on Radio Voorst, Deventer Radio & streaming Internet) we will pay attention to the legendary ProgFarm festival of which this years edition will be on November 7th in Bakkeveen (NL). We have invited Flamborough Head and Leapday to present their new album in SymfoCity. From the other planned gigs (Martigan, Ice & Il Castello Di Atlante) we will play some music too.

CD presentation 5BridgeS
Recently the Dutch group "5Bridges" released their debut album "The Thomas Tracks". We had the opportunity to interview them in our studio. Piet Roelofsen (vocals), Enzo Gallo (guitar) and Rob van der Linden (drums) answered many questions asked by us. And of course we played a few tracks of their album.
